National Library Week
Since 1958, National Library Week has been celebrated nationally by
the American Library Association and its member libraries each April.

Celebrate Banned Books Week!
The American Library Association recognizes banned and challenged
books during Banned Books Week, an annual celebration of the
freedom to read.  It is observed the last week of September. Among
the most challenged authors are:  Maya Angelou, J.K. Rowling,
Stephen King, John Steinbeck, Judy Blume, Toni Morrison, Lois Lowry
and J.D. Salinger.
